CO-OP Foundation - 2022

Working with Birmingham based agency Beat Freaks, we were commissioned to create illustrations for Co-op Foundation’s 'Future Communities Vision' as part of their new strategy. The project was broken down by creating a master illustration that depicts a community of 10 years’ time that is fair and built on co-operative values. The illustration included six key themes, such as prosperity and sustainability, that were extracted from the co-operative values, interpreted by young people.

We then worked with animation studio Morever, who turned our illustrations into an animation to explain the ‘Future Communities Vision’ in more depth. You can watch the animation here, as well as a behind the scenes of how we created the illustrations here.

Animation by Morever

We've loved bringing the project to life as it helps communicate thoughts that are often written and verbalised into something visual which is a universal language for all to interpret.

As young creatives we really appreciate being involved with this exciting project. We think it's essential that young people get the chance to use their voice to express their thoughts and visions about important issues that affect us all in significant ways.

See how it was made…
