Fosse Foxes

To celebrate the opening of Fosse Park Shopping Centre’s new ‘Food Central’ development, we designed and painted 14 larger-than-life-size fiberglass foxes with 14 community groups from all around Leicester. Each group had influence over a fox, in which we interpreted their feedback and turned it into a design. These foxes will be displayed as an art trail around the shopping centre encouraging shoppers to explore the site and find the foxes! You can read more about the creation of the foxes and behind the scene shots on our blog here.

Key Objectives

  • Community- Fosse Park wanted to make connections with local community groups by allocating a fox to each group. We worked alongside the groups to create their fox which communicated their message.

  • Increase Footfall- The Fosse Foxes trail gave a reason for people to visit the new site. It provided entertainment for families and increased dwell time.

  • Destination Making- The Crown Estate wanted Fosse Park to become more of a destination rather than just a place to get your essentials. The Foxes add colour, character and something different to the retail park.

  • Way finding Totems- The trail element of the project got customers exploring the whole Fosse Park site and they act as way finding totems for the shopping centre.
